MUDAR. Ten ways to get people to change: 1. Start with some praise for the person concerned; 2. Mention your own mistakes in the area; 3. Talk about the effects of their old behaviour; 4. Understand the reasons for their old behaviour; 5. Explain the benefits of new behaviour; 6. Tell them the change is within their capabilities; 7. Make the first part of change the easiest; 8. Make sure the changes mean no loss of face; 9. Agree targets for changes behaviour; 10. Monitor and encourage new behaviour.
