REDES E TECNOLOGIA. Um dos tópicos em debate na conferência de 2005 do IMP é sobre "Technological Development in Networks". Neste tópico, Håkan Håkansson e Koen Dittrich constatam que "the short life-cycle, short time-to-market and the growing R&D intensity make sure that even the largest companies cannot go alone when developing new technologies. Therefore, an increasing number of companies have decided to develop new technologies in some network relationship with clients, suppliers or competitors. These networks facilitate knowledge diffusion and speed up the learning process of companies as well as economise on scarce and costly technical resources. For this session, papers are invited that deal with a wide variety of technological development in networks. Examples are topics such as strategic technology alliances, industry-university R&D networks, buyer-supplier networks, and user-producer interaction."
